relaxing weekend and lots of movies

Here a picture of serenity all dress to go birthday party ... My mom got he puzzle tight at acme(food store) the last place you think you would find cutie tights
This patches enjoy the Christmas tree... I was worried about here climbing it .. but so far so good .. I sure she will try .
I watch a lot of movies this weekend and they were all good
Blood and chocolate
The story takes place in modern day Bucharest and tells the tale of nineteen year old Vivian Gandillon (Bruckner), who has spent her life on the run from the truth.... that she is a werewolf. When her affections for a visiting American artist threaten to expose her family's secret society, she must choose between her love for an outsider and betraying the secret vows of her family.
I wasn't sure what to think about this movie at first ... I mean just hear the name of the movie was odd.. but turn out to be be good movie .. I would not mine seeing it again.
Rails & Ties,
a tearjerker focused on untimely death by suicide and cancer
A crash involving a train and a car leads to an unexpected bond between the train engineer (Kevin Bacon) and the 11-year-old boy (Miles Heizer) who escaped the collision. The engineer is struggling with the impending death of his wife (Marcia Gay Harden), who is in the final stages of cancer. The boy is grappling with the death of his mother. Harden wants to embrace what is left of her life and resents her husband's silence on the subject. He's clinging to the normalcy of his life as a railroad man. The couple seem on the verge of splitting. But they get an emotional recharging when the boy enters their lives.
this movie was very sad but good...You only want to watch it one time ... You have to be in the right frame of mine.
Kung Fu Panda
Jack Black as Po the Panda, a lowly waiter in a noodle restaurant, who is a kung fu fanatic but whose shape doesn't exactly lend itself to kung fu fighting. In fact, Po's defining characteristic appears to be that he is the laziest of all the animals in ancient China. That's a problem because powerful enemies are at the gates, and all hopes have been pinned on a prophesy naming Po as the "Chosen One" to save the day. A group of martial arts masters are going to need a black belt in patience if they are going to turn this slacker panda into a kung fu fighter before it's too late.
I love this movie... I watched the part were Po is getting train probably like 15 time... I was laughing so much and each time you watch you see something new ...You can watch this movie over and over ... I will someday own a copy of this movie.. great movie to watch with the whole family .

Holiday cooking

I was talk with one my friends about when we could together and make sugar cookies. It one my favorite memorise from when I was kids . We would make sugar cookies with mom and than she make each one of us a special color of power sugar icing. To ice the cookies with and than we give out to family and friends. Than when I moved away from home for while I started making cookies with friends and now Christmas tradition for me now . My brother bought all the stuff to make puppy chow . On the chex box they call it chex muddy buddies but same thing . We decide to start alittle and made puppy chow today and it was very yummy . I am looking to all the holiday cooking and music . Here is the recipes for puppy chow ... I sometime use butterscotch chip instead of chocolate and that very good .

Chex® Muddy Buddies®

Chex® Muddy Buddies®
Another popular name for this favorite mix is "puppy food". Chow down; it's doggone good!
Prep Time:15 min
Start to Finish:15 min
Makes:18 servings (1/2 cup each)

9
cups Corn Chex®, Rice Chex®, Wheat Chex® or Chocolate Chex® cereal (or combination)
1
cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2
cup peanut butter
1/4
cup butter or margarine
1
teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2
cups powdered sugar

Substitution
Peanut butter and chocolate are a favorite flavor combo, but peanut butter lovers can substitute peanut butter chips for the chocolate chips to intensify that flavor.

1.
Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside.
2.
In 1-quart microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
3.
Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

A letter from a friend of a friend

I received this in a email from a friend of mine .... I though was wroth sharing enjoy and so tell me what do you think.

In response to all the 'what do you think?"s from friends and family this past week--

From my many conversations this week, one thing became clear-that no matter the eventual outcome of the election, we are on the verge of very big change. No matter who won, barriers would be erased and either a non-male or a non-white would occupy one of 2 most powerful positions in the world. With that would be a new perception of America . Barack Obama said, " when (not "if") he became president, the world would view America differently and that America would view America differently too."

All week I've had trouble putting into words the emotions I've had following our nations recent election. As gas and groceries prices rise, I've felt anxious as my family begins feeling the pinch of the economy with the holidays lurking ahead.
I've felt an absence of racism and an aura of equality and respect as I walk in public with my husband, always proudly before, but especially now.
I've felt a little afraid for this nations security; that the transfer of power could somehow leave us vulnerable.
I've also felt optimism that because of the transfer, a path will be cleared and better international relations will develop.
I've felt almost stunned that my resigned submission and apathy to the current out-of-touch administration is over and I am finally excited about politics again. Mostly I am happy to know my voice has and will continue to be heard.
And finally, I rest a little lighter feeling for the first time in a long time that my leaders genuinely care about friends and families like mine. -With family in the military, family facing retirement and disability, unemployment, child support payments, lost investments, possible foreclosure, health problems and medical bills due to lack of insurance, student loans, rising costs, (teenagers!).

I was born in 1966, in the midst of the Vietnam War; the same year the Black Panther Militia was formed and biracial marriages were illegal in 16 states. When I was perfecting learning to walk, Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated. The year I started kindergarten, busing for the integration of schools was ordered by the Supreme Court. I lived through the energy crunch of the 70's with my mom yelling "turn off the lights" and my father telling me to "put on a hat" instead of turning the thermostat up. I became an adult in the 80's and as a young adult, the first president I ever voted for tried to veto the Civil Rights Restoration Act. I was an activist and environmentalist in the 90's and in 1992, 3 weeks after my son was born, Los Angeles erupted in riots over the Rodney King trial.

My so is now 16 and knows very little of racism outside of the mysterious disappearance of 2 Obama/Biden campaign signs from our small town yard in the last month. Strange how the third, (and only one to be rigged with a string and a bell into our bedroom window) still stands unharmed. (did I mention I 've felt vindication?!)
Sadly though, he has only just begun to see the green movement and understand the threats facing our environment. He and his friends are passive about the current history in the making, either desensitized by media and their general childhood diet of video games and day care or they are truly resigned to the illusion that their voice holds no power. I am extremely grateful for the millions who for the first time took a stand by voting.

Lastly I've felt joy, elation, hope... I feel unity. I feel a sense of peace that our new leader will select a strong support network and that his integrity, confidence and composure will become infectious in Washington . I feel certain that America can become strong again- on its own terms without being a bully and while taking care of its own. I feel that way because I believe we finally feel differently about each other-that suddenly we are, without gender and race, all Americans.

It's ironic that I haven't watched Oprah in over a year and this past Friday I caught it and it had such a profound effect on me. Musical artist, Will.i.am summed up perfectly for me the culmination of thoughts and emotions this past week. Not a day has passed since the election that I have not shed tears of joy over this historical occurrence. I believe music often uniquely expresses that which can only be expressed through some form of art--This song is upbeat, positive, joyful, remembering the past but looking forward to the future.
Once there was pre 9/11 and post 9/11 and although that will not be forgotten, now there is pre-Obama and post-Obama. It's a new day!

Click on the video and prepare to smile.
